About Us
Creating Communities Where Everyone Belongs
At Community Living Association Lanark County (CLA), we believe that true community means everyone feels seen, valued, and included.
Since 1965, we’ve walked alongside people with intellectual disabilities and their families across Lanark County—offering support that opens doors to housing, employment, connection, and a life rich in meaning. Every person we support brings their own strengths, and with the right supports in place, those strengths shine.
Our Mission
CLA’s services support individuals and families as they pursue their life goals in community with us.
Our Story:
Inclusion in Action
Community Living Association Lanark County began with a vision: a community where everyone belongs, without labels or limitations.
From those early days to today, we’ve grown with and for the people we serve. That means advocating for inclusive schools and workplaces, creating homes filled with care and dignity, and building lasting relationships rooted in trust.
Today, that vision lives on in every program and service offered—each one focused on real lives, real choices, and real inclusion.
Our Approach:
Dignity, Choice, Belonging
At CLA, people come first. We listen closely, respect each person’s choices, and walk together in partnership.
Supports are person-directed. Relationships are the foundation. And inclusion isn’t just something we aim for—it’s how we live and work, every day
Join the Movement for Inclusion
