Foundry Books & Novelties

Foundry Books and Novelties

At Community Living Association Lanark County (CLA), we believe that true community means everyone feels seen, valued, and included.

Since 1965, we’ve walked alongside people with intellectual disabilities and their families across Lanark County—offering support that opens doors to housing, employment, connection, and a life rich in meaning. Every person we support brings their own strengths, and with the right supports in place, those strengths shine.

About Foundry Books

Foundry Books & Novelties is more than a bookstore—it’s a social enterprise that provides meaningful employment and job skills training for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The store is managed and operated by the people we support, with guidance from staff. It’s a welcoming space where community members can shop, connect, and support inclusion just by
stopping in.

We offer a wide selection of over 3,000 donated books, all recycled and ready for their next reader. Every book purchase helps create opportunity, connection, and confidence for our team.
